App.net Podcast Episode 1

Starting today, we’ll be releasing a weekly podcast covering all things App.net. Each week, @dalton will recap the latest developments, API rollouts, new features, updates to the product roadmap, and take user questions. In the future, we’ll expand the scope of the podcast to include guests and interviews.

This first podcast covers changes in the API over the last few weeks, App.net growth, future pricing changes, and perfecting the out-of-the-box experience for new users. The last segment takes user questions, and many thanks to @huw, @failgunner, @jaredcwhite, @scruffyfox, @ur, and @simon_w for participating.

If you have suggestions for the podcast, ideas for the format, or guests you’d like to hear from, post your thoughts to @ADN, @ben, or @dalton.

Enjoyed listening to the podcast. It’s a good idea — sometimes people need to hear someone talking to grasp news in a more meaningful way than can be communicated in bits of blog posts or status updates.

I wanted to subscribe to this podcast in Downcast but I couldn’t find the feed. If someone points out that it was linked somewhere all along I’ll feel extremely dumb.

    Anyway, because I couldn’t find a feed, I created one: http://feeds.feedburner.com/appdotnetpodcast

Other people are free to use it as well, and if Dalton, et al so desire I can transfer ownership over to them.

Enjoyed it a lot. I do think it might be nice to think about having someone also in there as well lobbing the questions. A little back and forth is a good thing. Podcasts do a nice job of portraying the human aspect of all of this which is aligned with the “build different” mindset of App.net so I look forward to future installments.
